No Christmas?

Researching more about the Local Churches, I found that they do not celebrate Christmas. Does this mean that they do celebrate Christ's birth or take part in exchanging gifts? Can anyone help explain this to me?

Hi there, the Lords recovery is not a denomination or religious group. In fact the people whom you are referring to do not call themselves the lords recovery either. They take no name but Christ's. God, ever since the beginning of time began recovering the earth unto his hearts desire. This is heavy matter to discuss in a comment so I won't touch it. God's move on this earth in this age can then be referred to as his recovery. It is not an official term nor is it a must to coin it. But it definitely fits what the Lord is doing in this age. The Christians you refer to do not celebrate christmas because there is no comission from God to do so. The only thing the Lord jesus told us to do and keep is the Lords Table which is in remembrance and testimony of his victory on the cross. Jesus was not even born on December 25th. It came about as a pagan solstis holiday and the Europeans decided to associate the winter holiday with Christ's birth and celebrate it. Until then, the birth of Jesus was never celebrated. The apostles in the bible show no record of ever keeping such a celebration. They only kept the lords feast, breaking bread from house to house. The Gospel of the Lord shows no mention of celebrating his birth at all. Instead the Lord and disciples only maintain one theme in the whole new testament which is judicial redemption through Christ's blood, and organic salvation through the transforming Spirit of God, which transforms us step by step into useful, well molded vessel of God.
